Police: Attempted Theft, Trespassing in Perkiomen

An incident report does not signify a conviction. All accused are innocent until proven guilty.

are investigating an attempted theft case at a Perkiomen Township home on Thursday afternoon, March 29.
According to a police report, a member of the Township Line Road household returned to the residence and saw a late-model green pickup truck in the driveway. The individual “then observed a (man) walk from behind the residence to the front”; he was carrying a leaf blower and a bicycle seat. When the man saw the resident, he dropped what he was carrying and then fled the scene in the truck, driving toward Ridge Pike, the report states.
“The witness described the actor as a white male under 30 with a thin build, brown hair and scruffy facial hair,” according to the report.

Car stolen from Skippack residence
Pennsylvania State Police are asking for information in connection with a vehicle theft that occurred in Skippack Township sometime between 9:45 p.m. March 26 and 6 a.m. March 27.
According to a police report, a 1994 Chrysler minivan was stolen from a residence in the 700 block of Evansburg Road. “It is believed that the keys were left inside the vehicle,” the report states.
The van is white with wood paneling on the side; the PA registration is FMD5392.

Information Sought in Identity Theft Case
Pennsylvania State Police are asking for information in connection with an identity theft that occurred sometime between Jan. 17 and 19, 2012.
According to a police report, an unknown person (or people) obtained a Perkiomen Township woman’s personal information and filed a federal income tax return.
