Police: One Person Injured in Head-On Crash in Skippack

Emergency personnel at scene; portion of Route 73 closed to traffic

Trooper Burne said Skippack EMS took the passenger in a Ford F-350 to Lehigh Valley Hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Skippack Pike, Skippack Township, around 2:15 p.m., March 10.

Police, EMS and the Skippack Fire Co. responded to the head-on collision near the intersection of Skippack Pike and Church Road. According to Burne, the preliminary investigation suggests the driver of a former Penske moving truck fell asleep at the wheel, and then the truck drifted into the next lane, hitting the Ford pickup truck.
