PV Student Shaves His Head for Play and Charity

With a dislike of bald caps and a desire to help people, seventh grader Nathan Gittelman shaved off his headful of dark, curly locks days before he takes to the stage as Daddy Warbucks in "Annie."

Teachers and staff members were among those who turned out for the head-shaving event, which raised $438 for Laurel House, an organization that helps victims of domestic violence, according to an e-mail from the district.
