Route 663 Bridge Over Green Lane Reservoir Reopened

Lanes have reopened on the Route 663 bridge over Green Lane Reservoir after seven months of closure.

UPPER HANOVER TOWNSHIP, PA — The Route 663 Bridge over Green Lane Reservoir in Upper Hanover Township has been reopened, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced Friday.

The bridge has been closed since November for rehabilitation of its superstructure, deck, bearing, and other safety features, officials said. Repairs will continue for the next month that will not require lane closures.

The bridge, built in 1956, carries an average of 9,700 vehicles a day. It had been deemed "structurally deficient" prior to its rehabilitation.
