Route 73 Bridge Over Perkiomen To Be Restricted Beginning Monday
Traffic on Route 73 over the Perkiomen Creek will be narrowed to one lane.

PERKIOMEN VALLEY, PA -- Lanes on Route 73 (Skippack Pike) will be shut down beginning Monday as construction commences for lamppost installation, PennDOT announced.
Traffic over the Skippack Pike Bridge, which traverses Perkiomen Creek, will be narrowed to a single lane, according to officials.
Work will take place from Monday, March 27 through Friday, March 31, from 9 a.m. through 3 p.m., officials said.

Traffic will be controlled by flagging.
Motorists are advised to consider alternative routes and to allow extra time when passing through the area.

The work is part of a $7.5 million project to rehabilitate eight bridges in Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.
Utility construction will cause the following additional delays in Perkiomen and Skippack this week:
- Monday, March 27, through Friday, March 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Route 29 (Gravel Pike) will be reduced to one lane between Miller Road and Harrison Road in Perkiomen Township, for utility relocation. Traffic will be controlled by flagging
- Monday, March 27, through Friday, March 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Route 73 (Skippack Pike) will be restricted to one lane between Squirrel Hill Road and Perkiomen Creek Road in Skippack Township, for excavation and utility relocation. Traffic will be controlled by flagging;• Monday, March 27, through Friday, March 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Plank Road will be restricted to one lane between Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and Route 73 (Skippack Pike) in Perkiomen Township, for utility relocation. Traffic will be controlled by flagging; and
- Monday, March 27, through Friday, March 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Meyers Road will be reduced to one lane between Seitz Road and Miller Road in Perkiomen Township, for storm sewer installation. Traffic will be controlled by flagging.
