St. Patrick's Day DUI Enforcement Planned In Upper Perk Area
Drivers around the Upper Perkiomen area will face increased DUI enforcement Wednesday.
UPPER PEKIOMEN, PA — Authorities will be cracking down on drunk driving on St. Patrick's Day in the greater Upper Perkiomen area and around the region.
Increased DUI enforcement patrols will be on the roads around the area, local police said.
Officials reminded residents to take advantage of ride shares, taxis, and designated drivers if they plan to drink.

Pennsylvania's legal alcohol limit is .08 for most drivers, .04 for commercial vehicles and .02 for school bus operators. "Responsible adults need to be aware alcohol content of what they are consuming," PennDOT said in a statement.
Roving Patrol Details are funded by a PennDOT grant and are one of many tools used to increase public safety through increased awareness created by high profile enforcement.
