Subourbon Comedy Night at Worcester Golf Club November 2nd

COLLEGEVILLE, PA – Worcester Golf Club will once again host an open-to-the-public comedy night November 2nd at 8p. The show brings an exciting line-up of Alingon Mitra (Conan; Last Show with Stephen Colbert; Last Comic Standing) and Philly favorite Jake Mattera.

The show is produced by Subourbon Comedy,formed by Michael Lancer and Chris Dolan to bring great city comedy to suburban audiences. The name is a nod to Lancer’s affinity for whiskey.

Worcester Golf Club owners Cindy and Lance Asher recognized the opportunity to leverage the facility’s generous event space to help bring Dolan and Lancer’s vision to life – and a bit of the Philadelphia & New York comedy scenes to Montgomery County, PA and surrounding suburbs.

"We know people in the suburbs want to see great comedy, but getting to Philly or New York is a hassle” said Lancer. “At the same time, there are few venues for city comics to perform in the Philly suburbs. So we’re bringing great comedy to a welcoming, easy-to-get-to spot like Worcester Golf Club - and we're definitely putting our best foot forward with this show."

Chris Dolan will host the evening’s show, and Michael Lancer appears as a special guest. The full line-up includes:

• Feature performer Jake Mattera. Mattera is a veteran Philly comic who has appeared in sketches on ‘Conan’ and in prestigious comedy festivals throughout the U.S. He appears at Punch Line Philly and Helium comedy clubs and is a repeat finalist in Helium’s “Philly’s Phunniest” competition.
• Headliner Alingon Mitra. Making his tv debut on NBC's Last Comic Standing, Alingon finished first in the public vote 5 weeks in a row to win the comic comeback contest and perform on the finale. He has since been invited to do stand up on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Conan, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and Adam Devine's House Party on Comedy Central. Alingon was named one of the "New Faces of Comedy" at Montreal's Just for Laughs Comedy Festival.

Cash bar and a pub menu will be available when doors open at 7pm ET. The show begins at 8pm ET.
