Tech for Vets and First Responders Veterans Day Celebration
Low cost refurbished computers for Vets First Responders and Any family, school or organization in need of computers
Audubon, Pennsylvania – For the past 20 years, Robert Toporek a decorated Vietnam veteran has provided low-cost high quality refurbished computers to families, schools and organizations in need. Seeing another opportunity to help an underserved group, Robert has created a Tech for Vets and first responders. The goal is to do a targeted outreach to Veterans and First responders in need of a computer. “These brave men and women are studying college courses, looking for jobs, and researching badly needed social services in the comfort of their homes. They need to have the right tools to accomplish what they’re working on”
TeamChildren has partnered with the upward bound program at the University of Pennsylvania and is helping their veterans receive refurbished computers
Since 1997, www.teamchildren.org has distributed over 15,000 computers reaching more than 75,000 kids. These kids and their families are now transforming their academic, economic and social futures.
