Van Crashes into Skippack Residence

Driver, dog reportedly unharmed

The following information was provided by Jim Seydel:

A small plumber's van was traveling north on Bridge Road/Route 113 in Skippack Township when it hit a utility pole and then veered off the road and into the left front corner of a house at 1100 block shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 21.

He was apparently uninjured and watched as firemen from Skippack Fire Co. and a construction crew stabilized things and removed the vehicle from the structure.

A small, frightened pitbull was was rescued and is also unharmed.

The crash's cause is unreported at this time. A PECO truck was at the scene as workers assisted with the cleanup, and a spokesperson informed Patch that no utilities in the area had been affected. Whether the pole was one of PECO's or Verizon's had yet to be determined before noon that day.
