UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - The boil water advisory that had been in effect since Monday for 100,000 Pennsylvania American Water customers, including those in Peters, has been lifted. The water company said that the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection authorized the lifting after acceptable water sample test results were obtained.
The advisory was given after samples taken Monday had high turbidity levels that increased chances the water might contain disease-causing organisms.
