Event Lets Enthusiasts Get Up Close and Personal with Trucks

Peters Township Parks and Recreation Department is giving truck lovers both young and old the chance to get up close and personal with some big rigs.

An event titled Touch a Truck is taking place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Peterswood Park.

And local residents are cordially invited to attend—free.

"Adults love this event as much as the kids," organizers said.

So go ahead, go have fun interacting with a wide variety of trucks, construction vehicles, public safety vehicles and more.

Did we mention that Life Flight of Allegheny County will land a helicopter on site, too (weather permitting)?

Organizers remind folks planning to attend to bring along their cameras.

As a note, children must be accompanied by adults.
