Keep Your Kids Out Of Trouble, Send Them To A Peters Camp

Running out of ideas on how to keep your children occupied this summer? Here are a few more.

PETERS TOWNSHIP, PA - With summer vacation now more than halfway over, kids could start to be getting bored with their extended break. Boredom can lead to mischief, so why not enroll them in a weeklong summer camp?

Among the camps being offered by the township:

  • Silly Science Camp (ages 6-11)

July 24-28, 9 a.m.-noon, Peterswood Park Shelter 4
Kids can enjoy sports, crafts, hikes, games and more.
Cost: $55 per resident, $83 per non-resident.

  • Silly Science Camp (ages 3-6)

July 24-28, 1:15-3:45 p.m., Community Recreation Center
Each little scientist is active with creating, playing, and learning different concepts in science. This camp will include Color My World, goo and slime bugs, pirate science, ice cream making, and summer science fun.
Cost: $100 Member per member, $150 per non-member (does not include $25 supply fee paid to the instructor the first day of camp.)

  • Playground Pals (ages 4-8)

July 31, Aug. 2, Aug. 4, 9:30 a.m.-noon
August 7, 9, 11, 9:30 a.m.-noon
August 14, 16, 18, 9:30 a.m.-noon
Three one-week sessions for children who enjoy games, sports, crafts and using their imagination. These camps are held Monday, Wednesday and Friday only at Elm Grove Park.
Cost: $35 per resident, $53 per non-resident (per week).
