
A Finleyville man was jailed Thursday night after Peters Township police charged him with possession, possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal use of a communication facility.
Police said officers became of a drug deal that was to take place in the parking lot of a local eatery.
When they arrived Thursday afternoon, they discovered Alphonso G. Griffin Jr., 22, with 40 baggies of heroin, stamp bags and a scale.
He was arraigned Thursday before district Judge James Ellis, who remanded him to the Washington County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
Griffin is scheduled to appear before Ellis for a preliminary hearing Tuesday afternoon.
