Meadows Casino donation to help feed local senior citizens

Casino guests participate in Charity Box program

The Meadows Casino recently presented a check for $6,653.39 to Meals on Wheels of Peters Township as part of the casino’s Charity Box program. The non-profit, volunteer-run organization provides hot nutritious meals to senior citizens who have difficulty shopping for food or cooking meals, regardless of income

The donations came from guests of The Meadows Casino during the third quarter as part of The Meadows Casino’s Charity Box program. The program allows patrons to donate their TITO tickets (slot vouchers from the machines), table chips and cash into three designated boxes located at all of the casino entrances.

Initiated in 2014, the Charity Box program is one of many initiatives the casino undertakes throughout the year. Donations have been given to the Greater Washington County Food Bank, CASA for Kids, Inc., City Mission, Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern PA, Washington County Habitat for Humanity, Western Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Canonsburg Hospital, The Washington Area Humane Society and many other important organizations throughout the community.
