Not all anti-bullying messages are created equal.
And nobody knows this more than Gab Bonesso and Josh Verbanets.
The longtime friends and bandmates were commissioned by a friend interning at a local school district to write an hour-long rock n roll-themed show with an anti-bullying message.
The pair said that while there had been anti-bullying messages shared with students before by other performers, that kids weren't able to identify with them—and often walked away learning nothing.
But that isn't the case with their show, which utilizes humor, original songs, interactive exercises, and storytelling in a heartfelt educational program.
Aimed at pupils in kindergarten through eight grade, youngsters in the Peters Township area will now get a chance to check out their material, which the duo has said is largely based on their own personal experiences with bullying.

Bonesso and Verbanets will be performing at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 27 in David's Music House.
