Peters' Best Cheap Eats

These places (supposedly) are inexpensive, yet still get high marks for their food quality.

PETERS TOWNSHIP, PA - With holiday credit card bills rolling in for most people, January is a month in which many folks try to live frugally. It’s generally not a time to treat yourself to gourmet dining, but you still need to eat.

With that thought in mind, what are the best places to dine inexpensively around Peters? For the answer, we turned to Yelp, whose users seldom are shy about sharing their opinions. Is there a place they missed? If so, feel free to mention it in the comments section below.

1. Arlecchino Ristorante, 133 Camp Lane, McMurray
It’s puzzling that this place made the top of the list for cheap eats. While there was near-unanimous praise for the food, many reviewers made it clear that it’s not an inexpensive dining experience. Sometimes Yelp can be confusing.

2. Brasserie, 102 Gallery Drive, McMurray
Raved this reviewer: “The food, was so good. My wife got the mussels, some of the best she have had. We actually ended up ordering mussels for take out two nights later. “

3. The Simple Greek, 502 Valleybrook Road, McMurray
“If you like good healthy food on a budget, look no further,” this Yelpster wrote. “This place really taps my toe on every level.”

4. Atria’s, 4059 Washington Road, McMurray
Offered this reviewer: “I have eaten at Atria's over a dozen times. It is a very good locally owned restaurant. I would rather eat here than the chains.”

5. Bado’s Cucina, 3825 Washington Road, McMurray
“I love the tapas,” one reviewer wrote. “We had the halibut, portobello salad, bruschetta flatbread, artichokes and bread pudding.”
