Peters Hill Park A Step Closer To Reality
A master plan to redevelop the former Rolling Hills County Club should be completed by fall.

PETERS TOWNSHIP, PA -- Plans are advancing to turn the former Rolling Hills Country Club into an idyllic park.
The township has hired Mackin Engineering to design a master plan for the scenic site, which will be kknown as Peters Hill Park. Peters is acquiring about half of the 180-acre property on East McMurray Road, including the area where the clubhouse stands.
Mackin, which will be paid $112,000 for the work, is expected to have the plan completed this fall. It’s unclear when the park would open or if its amenities would include a swimming pool, but the township plans to fill in the old country club pool.

The other half of the country club property is owned by the Peters Township School District, which might construct a new high school on the site. The current high school opened in 1967.
Originally known as the Mt. Lebanon Golf Club, the facility was built on a former farm and first opened in the 1940s. It became the Rolling Hills Country Club in the 1960s.
