Peters Hires New Bower Hill Elementary Assistant Prinicipal
The school district promotes from within to fill the position.

PETERS TOWNSHIP, PA - Bower Hill Elementary School will have a new assistant principal this upcoming school year. Peters Township School District directors on Monday hired Jennifer Carfano, who will begin her new duties July 1.
For the past three years, Carfano has been an instructional support teacher and reading specialist at the school. Before coming to Peters Township, she taught third grade in the Chartiers Valley School District, where she also was the curriculum leader for English and Language Arts.
Carfano also has five years experience with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, where she designed and facilitated professional development for school districts throughout the county. She also spent six years as a Hopewell Area School District teacher.

Carfano has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from California university of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree as a reading specialist and has an administrative principal certification.
“Over the past three years, Jennifer has become an indispensable member of the Bower Hill team,” Bower Hill principal Robert Garvey said in a district release.. “She already has so many strong relationships with our staff and families, this is a great next step for her and for Bower Hill.”
