Peters Schedules Cleanup Day, Recycling Event
Find out here how you can participate in this effort to beautify the township.

PETERS TOWNSHIP, PA - Peters Township’s annual Great American Cleanup Day is scheduled for April 21. The event is part of the larger Keep America Beautiful Campaign, an assortment of programs and resources to help end littering, increase recycling efforts and beautify communities.
Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. in the recreation center at 9:00 a.m. They will be provided with a designated cleanup location, garbage bags, gloves and a safety vest. Sign-ups are encouraged, but not required, and walk-ins are welcome.
Additionally, residents can recycle the following items April 21 from 9 a.m. to noon at the public works facility:

- Automotive batteries, scrap metal, and electronic items such as televisions, computers, and monitors. No charge.
- Tires at a cost of $3 each.
Also, bikes can be donated to public works cycle enthusiasts who will examine, repair and donate them to the City Mission, Washington County Food Bank and other charities in the Pittsburgh area. Bikes can be dropped off at the public works department any time during normal business hours or at the collection event itself.
