
Congratulations to the Peters Township High School Class of 2013—which later today—Friday—will celebrate its commencement.
About 360 students will be graduating this year.Â
The ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. in the high school stadium.
Among those scheduled to speak are Garrett Matthew Warmbein, senior class president, and Maple Chen.
Retiring teacher Joseph Maize will also speak.
Students graduating with the Summa Cum Laude honor and having a weighted grade point average of of 5.0 or higher are recognized as Peters Township Scholars.
At least half of the total credits earned must be from Peters Township High School for a student to qualify as a PT Scholar.
The following students will be honored as PT Scholars: Sarah Lee Bowler, Joshua Samuel Bowman, Chen, Emily Ann Cocco, Brett Andrew DiCello, Rebecca Ann Fiscus, Jake Edward Floyd, Matthew Alexander Girouard, Hannah Marie Gross, Bryan Christopher Hall, Paige Julia Hannah, Carla Rose Hoge, Nicole Elizabeth Hume, Katherine Rose Krajovic, Joshua Thomas Larimer, Matthew Kusuplos Perryman, Emily Kathryn Peterson, Melanie Jean Roberts, Rachel Marie Troscinski, Cheng Wang.
As for the ceremony, the district notes: In the case of inclement weather, graduation will take place in the Peters Township High School gym—and only those guests with tickets will be permitted inside.
If there is inclement weather, all guests must enter the high school via the main entrance and proceed to the gymnasium or auditorium.
Guests will not be permitted to enter via the side doors.
The gym doors will open at 6:30 p.m.Â
