Peters Township School District Approves Back To School Plan
Parents will have two options for their students to begin the 2020-21 school year.
PETERS TOWNSHIP, PA — The Peters Township School District has approved a state-mandated health and safety plan for the 2020-21 school district. The school year will begin with two options: students can attend classes in person five days a week or opt for remote learning.
"The conditions wrought by this pandemic have been beyond challenging for all of us and we appreciate your support in helping us to plan for a safe and educationally sound return to school," superintendent Jeannine French said in a district release.
The approved plan will require that masks be worn at all times in school buildings with very limited exception, and all buildings will utilize high-capacity thermal cameras to conduct temperature screening upon arrival.Daily procedures such as arrivals, dismissals, lunches, and transitions have all been modified to
increase safety and physical distancing. Details of the plan can be viewed on the district's back to school website.
