Peterswood Park Amphitheater Movie, Events Schedule Unveiled

Movies to include "The LEGO Batman Movie," and "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story."

PETERS TOWNSHIP, PA - The township is taking steps to ensure the new Peterswood Park amphitheater is used as often as possible.

A series of free movie nights and special events will occur in the township beginning next month and running through October. The schedule follows, with events taking place at Peterswood unless otherwise noted:

  • June 24: Peters Township Community Day, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
  • June 30: Movie, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”
  • July 8: Touch a Truck event, 10 a.m.-noon
  • July 28: Movie, “The LEGO Batman Movie.”
  • Aug. 19: Fishing Derby at Peters Lake Park, 10 a.m.-noon (cost is $5 for township residents, $10 for non-residents).
  • Aug. 25: Movie, “Moana.”
  • Oct. 6-7: Haunted Trail XVIII 7:30 p.m.-10 p.m. ($5 per person)
  • Oct. 6-7: Haunted Trail for kids 8 and under, 6:15 p.m.-6:45 p.m.
  • Oct. 13: Movie, “Ghostbusters.”

The new $460,000 amphitheater replaces the deteriorating one built in the 1980s that was razed last year. The township previously announced this summer’s amphitheater concert and entertainment schedule. To see it, click here.
