Sarris Candies Displays Chocolate Body Sculpture
The sculpture by artist Heather Joy Puskarich is now on display at Sarris Candies in Canonsburg.
Sarris Candies transported the art of creating three-dimensional forms from marble into a modern-day reality with artist Heather Joy Puskarich by fashioning her own body out of a white chocolate coating—specifically developed for her project by the Canonsburg shop.
The sculpture will be on display at Sarris Candies through Sept. 1.
The sculpture was created by first taking an impression of Puskarich's body to create a mould.
After filling, cooling and unmolding, she used her sculpting expertise to add detail, texture and the necessary refinements that resulted in the 350-pound masterpiece.

The realistic look, giving the chocolate sculpture its signature marble appearance, could not have been achieved without Sarris Candies’ special formulation of white chocolate coating.
