Valley Brook, Route 19 Construction Expected to Cause Bus Delays for Peters Students
The construction begins Wednesday.

Peters Township school officials are warning district parents that upcoming construction of Valley Brook Road and state Route 19 could cause bus delays for students.
Construction, which will entail the closing of that intersection as well
as sections of Old Washington Road, is slated to begin Wednesday.
"The district has been preparing for these changes in cooperation with the township and families whose bus stops must be moved have already been personally contacted by the transportation department," school officials noted.
Because of the detours and increased traffic in other parts of the township, district officials said they do expect to experience delays on most of its bus routes when construction begins.

"We appreciate your patience as we work through these changes and encourage you to allow extra time at the bus stop until a new routine is in place," a district spokeswoman said in a statement.
The construction is projected to last through the 2013-14 school year—and next year's schedule and bus routes will be developed with this in mind.
Those with questions may contact the transportation department at 724-941-6251 x6010.
