There also are plenty of Oktoberfests, a giant neighborhood yard sale and more.

PETERS TOWNSHIP, PA - Andy Warhol and Marilyn Monroe are inextricably linked through Warhol’s artwork. So it’s no surprise that for the third annual Andy Warhol Museum fundraiser is dubbed “Night of 1,000 Marilyns.” The event occurs Sept. 16 at the Warhol Museum on the North Side.

For the event, participants are invited to dress up as their favorite Hollywood screen star - think Monroe, Clark Gable, Marlene Dietrich, Jimmy Stewart, or Greta Garbo. The Warhol’s seven floors will be open to explore, and there will be a DJ, dancing and an underground VIP lounge.

The fundraiser is the closing event for the exhibition “Andy Warhol: Stars of the Silver Screen,” which ends Sept. 24.
