150 Flights Canceled, Delayed In Philadelphia Due To Winter Storm
More than 150 flights are delayed or canceled at the Philadelphia International Airport due to the snow storm affecting the region.
PHILADELPHIA — As snow hits the Philadelphia region, travelers leaving and coming to Philadelphia are experiencing delays and cancellations of flights.
According to the Philadelphia International Airport, 108 flights have been canceled as of 11:30 a.m. Monday.
Additionally, 43 flights have been delayed due to weather.

While these 151 flights are affected for now, flight status changes quickly.

Both the airport's primary runways are open, however.
Travelers and those picking up travelers are encouraged to check flight statuses and road conditions before leaving for the airport Monday and Tuesday.
Officials suggested travelers should call the airline they are traveling with, get updates at 1-800-745-4283, or check the Philadelphia International Airport website for updates on flight statuses.
The airport has brined onsite roadways, with snow removal and deicing operations planned.
The city declared a snow emergency Sunday night. This means city offices are closed, trash and recycling collections are suspended, and other services are curtailed.
