6-Year-Old Boy Hurt In Philly Hit-And-Run: Police
Police said the driver of a van stopped and looked at the boy — who ran into the side of the van — but then drove off.
PHILADELPHIA — The driver of a van that hit a 6-year-old boy then drove off is being sought by Philadelphia Police.
Police said the incident occurred at 5:20 p.m. on May 16 on the 600 block of Erie Avenue.
The boy was crossing the road with his sisters when he ran forward and into the side of the van, police said.

The driver stopped, got out and checked on the boy, then got back into the van and drove off, police said.
Police described the van as a light colored minivan with a temporary New Jersey paper tag of 005218T. It was last seen heading west on Erie Avenue.

The boy was severely bruised on his face and body.
