Boys, 12 And 15, Attacked And Robbed At Philly Recreation Center

A group of five to seven people attacked and robbed two boys who were playing basketball at a Kensington recreation center lastd week.

PHILADELPHIA — Two boys, 12 and 15 years old, were attacked and robbed last week while playing basketball at a Philadelphia recreation center.

The incident occurred at about 10 p.m. on June 24 at the Cione Recreation Center, 2600 Aramingo Ave.

The boys were playing basketball when one suspect started arguing with them, police said.

The suspect called over another person, then three to five others came over and assaulted one of the boys.

Additionally, the suspects took a black iPhone 11 and one of the boys' wallets, which had $100 inside it.

The suspect left the area going north on Aramingo Avenue.

One of the boys had bruises on his side and back from being kicked and punched.
