Car Crashes Into Philly Outdoor Dining Area, 6 Hurt: Reports
A car crashed into a "streetery" — an outdoor dining area that is partially in the roadway — in Philadelphia's Northern Liberties section.
PHILADELPHIA — A car crashed into an outdoor dining area in Philadelphia's Northern Liberties neighborhood Wednesday morning, hurting at least half a dozen people, according to reports.
Action News repots the crash occurred just before 11 a.m. outside Cafe La Maude, which has a "streetery:" an outdoor dining area that occupies a portion of the roadway after getting city approval.
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, six people were hurt in the crash, but none suffered life-threatening injuries.

A representative from the restaurant told NBC10 that eight people were in the dining area at the time of the incident.
Photos from the scene show destroyed chairs, tables, and barriers, however the restaurant on social media said it was open as of about 1 p.m.

Police are working to determine the crash's cause.
