Drive-In Reopening At Philly's Navy Yard Friday
The drive-in will first show Disney's "Raya and the Dragon" starring Kelly Marie Tran of "Star Wars" and Awkwafina of "Crazy Rich Asians."
PHILADELPHIA — Drive-in movies are coming back to South Philadelphia's Navy Yard this weekend. The Philadelphia Film Society recently said the PFS Drive-In at the Navy Yard will reopen Friday.
The first movie at the newly reopened drive-in is the highly-anticipated Disney animated feature film "Raya and the Last Dragon," starring Kelly Marie Tran and Awkwafina.

All screenings will take place on the Delaware Riverfront at the Navy Yard, just off the intersection of League Island Boulevard and Admiral Peary Way.
Drive-in tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for Philadelphia Film Society members, $7 for children 12 and younger.

The drive-in will be open Fridays through Sundays in the spring. Select Monday evenings will host free community programmed screenings, free tickets can be reserved on the film society website here.
Able to accommodate up to 180 cars per screening on the venue's two-screens, films will be shown via top-of-the-line digital projection on large screens fastened to stacked shipping containers.
Each screening will comply with the most current health and safety standards per local jurisdictions and state regulations in order to protect patrons and staff.
The drive-in will strictly adhere to Philadelphia-approved safety guidelines for drive-ins, which, along with ticketing and pricing information, can be found on the PFS Website here.
Attendees are required to remain in their vehicles at all times unless using the restroom. When outside the vehicle, attendees are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
