PHILADELPHIA — You either love or hate Gritty, the Flyers' infamous orange monster mascot.

But anyone who may hate Gritty will likely change their tune after learning he gave a young fan a custom prosthetic leg.

According to Fox 29, 7-year-old Caiden O’Rourke is a mega Gritty fan who was born with orthopedic condition theft left him without legs.

O'Rourke, of Abington, has had several Philadelphia sports themed prostheses and asked for a Gritty-themed prosthesis.

As Fox reports, O'Rourke got quite the surprise when Gritty himself showed up at Shriner's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia to give the young fan his new prosthesis.
