How Much Snow Did Philadelphia Get Sunday? See Totals Here

The latest storm looks to be just the beginning of a week full of winter weather with chances of snow over the coming days.

PHILADELPHIA — More snow hit the Philadelphia region Sunday, leaving more snow on an already snow-stricken region after last week's nor'easter.

The Philadelphia region saw accumulations of as much as 10 inches of snow Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, Buckingham Township in Bucks County had the highest snow total Sunday. A member of the public reported 10.2 inches at 4:17 p.m. Sunday in Buckingham.

But what about Philadelphia?

The lowest total in Philly was at the Philadelphia International Airport Darby, where 1.7 inches of snow were recorded at 7 p.m.

Philly's highest snow total was in Chestnut Hill. At 2:30 p.m. Sunday a trained spotter counted 6 inches in the neighborhood.

Below are totals from across Delaware County Sunday:

  • Chestnut Hill — 6 inches at 2:30 p.m. (Public)
  • Somerton — 3.5 inches at 2:24 p.m. (Fire Dept/Rescue)
  • Fox Chase — 3 inches at 3:30 p.m. (Trained Spotter)
  • Philadelphia International Airport — 1.7 inches at 7 p.m. (ASOS)

The latest storm looks to be just the beginning of a week full of winter weather. The current forecast includes several chances of snow this week, including on Tuesday, Wednesday night, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the week.

On Tuesday, there's a 30 percent chance of snow between 4 and 11 a.m. New snow accumulation of less than a half-inch is possible. Precipitation is expected to turn to rain by the afternoon.
Then, overnight Wednesday there's a 60 percent chance of more snow. Accumulation estimates for that round of winter weather have not been released by the National Weather Service.

There is a 60 percent chance of more snow Thursday, and a 30 percent chance of snow Friday morning. Going into the weekend, there's a 30 percent chance of snow on Saturday night.
