Mom's Touching Post Seeks Philly Flyer Who Gave Up 1st-Class Seat
A Facebook post with 400,000 shares seeks AA588 passenger in 2D. He gave up his first-class seat for a mother and child headed to CHOP.

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A mother flying to CHOP with her young daughter is taking to social media to find "the man in 2D" so she can thank him for giving up his first-class seat during a recent flight from Orlando to Philadelphia.
Kelsey Zwick flew from Orlando to Philly on Dec. 6 on American Airlines Flight 588. She was taking her daughter Lucy to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. With Lucy, stroller, diaper bag, and oxygen machine in hand, she and Lucy were ready for what they thought would be a hectic flight, Zwick said in the now-viral post.
But before the plane took off, a flight attendant approached Zwick.

The attendant said a man in first class was waiting to switch seats with Zwick and her daughter.
"We pre-boarded the plane, got cozy in our window seat and made jokes to those around us about having to sit by my yelling-but-happy baby," Zwick said in a Facebook post that now has more than 400,000 shares. "The flight attendant came over and told me you were waiting to switch seats. You were giving up your comfortable, first class seat to us."

Zwick, overcome with emotion due to the anonymous man's generosity, and Lucy headed up the aisle crying tears of joy and got their new, cushy seat in 2D.
However, Zwick said she was unable to properly thank the man.
"I smiled and thanked you as we switched but didn’t get to thank you properly," she said. "Thank you. Not just for the seat itself but for noticing. For seeing us and realizing that maybe things are not always easy. For deciding you wanted to show a random act of kindness to us. It reminded me how much good there is in this world. I can’t wait to tell Lucy someday. In the meantime... we will pay it forward. AA 588 passenger in seat 2D, we truly feel inspired by your generosity."
