Medical Marijuana Dispensary Opening On City Ave Next Week

Curaleaf is opening its 12th Pennsylvania location on City Avenue next week, offering a new option for area medical marijuana patients.

PHILADELPHIA — A new cannabis dispensary is coming to City Avenue in Philadelphia.

Curaleaf is set to open a new dispensary at 5058 City Ave., just outside of Lower Merion Township.

A ribbon cutting at the dispensary is slated for Monday with the Main Line Chamber of Commerce.

A portion of proceeds from the opening days will be donated to the Central PA Food Bank and the Urban Affairs Coalition as a continuation of Feed the Block.

This dispensary is the 12th in Pennsylvania and 104th in the nation.

The 1,800 square foot space offers curbside pickup and a discount to veterans, seniors, and first-time patients.

"We are pleased to expand and strengthen our retail presence in Pennsylvania, offering our unparalleled patient care and education, as well as access to premium cannabis products," Curaleaf CEO Joe Bayern said. "We look forward to serving these communities and anticipate that demand will quickly surpass projected sales in this market, as cannabis continues to gain acceptance for a variety of health and wellness needs."

The City Avenue store's hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
