Meet 'Squiggles,' Please Touch Museum's New Mascot

After asking the public to weigh in on names for the new mascot, the Please Touch Museum's new ambassador has a name.

PHILADELPHIA – After asking the public weighed in on naming the Please Touch Museum's new mascot, the ambassador has a name finally.

Philadelphians voted on the new name and now we have "Squiggles."

Squiggles was unveiled at the Please Touch Museum on Oct. 7 as part of the museum’s 42nd Birthday Bash.

Squiggles' naming marks the final phase of the museum's rebranding effort with began in May.

"Like our new brand identity and logo, Squiggles is a friendly character with curious eyes, a big heart and an even bigger imagination," the museum said in a press release.

Squiggles could have been named Ziggy, Squish, Pip, or Curiosity Kid (C.K.), but the public chose Squiggles.
