Nearly 300 Flights At Philly International Impacted By Storm
As of about 1 p.m. Thursday, nearly 300 total flights are delayed or canceled due to winter weather hitting the Philadelphia region.
PHILADELPHIA — Nearly 300 flights at the Philadelphia International Airport have been delayed or canceled due to the winter storm impacting the region.
According to the Philadelphia International Airport, 158 flights have been canceled as of about 1 p.m. Thursday with several inches of snow falling in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas.
Additionally, 129 flights have been delayed due to weather.

While these 278 flights are affected for now, flight status changes quickly.

Travelers and those picking up travelers are encouraged to check flight statuses and road conditions before leaving for the airport Thursday and Friday.

Officials suggested travelers should call the airline they are traveling with, get updates at 1-800-745-4283, or check the Philadelphia International Airport website for updates on flight statuses.
The airport has brined onsite roadways, with snow removal and deicing operations planned.
The city declared a snow emergency Wednesday night. This means city offices are closed, trash and recycling collections are suspended, and other services are curtailed.
