Northeast Philadelphia saw the least snow in the city, with the NWS reporting just 2 inches.

- Rittenhouse Square — 5 inches at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday
- 2 SE Point Breeze — 3.8 inches at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday
- Belmont — 3.5 inches at 4:24 p.m. Wednesday
- 1 S Philadelphia — 3 inches at 4:35 p.m. Wednesday
- Northeast Philadelphia — 2 inches at 3:42 p.m. Wednesday
In the five-county Philadelphia region, East Coventry Township in Chester County had the most snowfall, per the National Weather Service: 8.7 inches of snow was recorded at 6:26 a.m. Thursday.
Philadelphia's trash and recycling collections for Thursday have been suspended, with collections to resume Friday. Residents whose materials are collected Friday materials will be collected Saturday. Collection delays are expected.
PECO reported very few power outages throughout the storm. As of 10 a.m., just 588 of PECO's total 1.66 million customers are affected by outages. Of those 588 customers affected, 116 are located in Philadelphia, the majority of which are in Brookhaven where 138 customers are affected.
Due to the storm, Philadelphia has closed its Access Centers, which will remain closed Thursday. Access Centers anticipated to open back up Friday for normal operations.
Additionally, several food sites will be closed Thursday. Residents can confirm food site closures at phila.gov/food or by calling 311. Last minute closures may occur. Closures as of Wednesday include:

With the storm, officials enacted a Code Blue cold weather emergency. Residents are urged to call 215-232-1984 if they see anyone who needs shelter. Residents are also subject to a $500 fine for leaving pets outside in the cold.
The storm led the Philadelphia School District to close all school buildings Wednesday and Thursday to allow for the safe clearing of snow from all roadways and walkways on district properties. Given the district's lessons are fully virtual, class schedules for Wednesday and Thursday will remain unchanged.
Thursday morning, PennDOT lifted its speed limit restrictions on all interstate and other state highways after reducing speed limits to 45 miles per hour. PennDOT is continuing to treat roadways in the area and will continue until roads are clear.
SEPTA made changes to some of its services Wednesday, but have since revised the changes. Below are current SEPTA service statuses:
Bus
- Routes 120, 98, L : Service has resumed normal operations. Expect residual delays while full operations are restored.
- Routes 131, 139, 201, 35, 65, 90, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, H, XH : Service is suspended until further notice due to weather conditions.
Trolley
- Routes 10, 11, 13, 34, 36 : Service is operating with delays due to weather conditions.
- Route 102 : Service is operating with significant delays due to track problems,
- Route 101 : Service is operating with significant delays due to track problems, All trolleys are originating/terminating at Providence Road.
Regional Rail
- Warminster : Service has resumed operations. Train #6425 is canceled. Train #409 is operating with delays of up to 45 minutes.
- Media/Elwyn : Train #2303 is canceled from Suburban Station to Elwyn.
- Manayunk/Norristown : Train #3210 will begin and board off #2 track at 30th Street Station. Note the change in the boarding location.
- Paoli/Thorndale : Train #3501 will begin and board off #5 track at Suburban Station. Note the change of the boarding location. Trains #1503 scheduled to leave Jefferson Station at 8:22 AM, and train #5316 scheduled to leave Malvern at 10:26 AM are canceled.
- West Trenton : Train #6365 is canceled today. An extra passenger train will be departing West Trenton,
- Fox Chase : Train #814 may experience delays of up to 25 minutes due to manpower issues. Train # 826 scheduled to leave Suburban Station at 11:28 AM is canceled.
- Airport : Trains #409 and #9410 are canceled between the Airport and Suburban Station.
Market/Frankford
- Service is operating with delays of up to 10 minutes.
CCT
- Full service has resumed. Vehicles will limit the number of customers per vehicle to comply with social distancing guidelines. Please have exact fare ready to minimize contact with drivers. All customers are reminded to wear masks/face coverings while on board.
Forecasters predicted the storm could drop nearly 2 feet of snow on some parts of Eastern Pennsylvania, with the Philadelphia region overall predicted to get anywhere from 6 to 18 inches of snow. The Poconos saw about 15 inches, according to the National Weather Service.
Snow began at about 1 p.m. in the Philadelphia region Wednesday.
Later Wednesday the snow shifted to hail and freezing rain.
