PA First Responders Deployed To Assist Florida Search And Rescue

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Pennsylvania first responders traveled down to Surfside, Florida, Wednesday evening to assist with search and rescue efforts at a condominium collapse.

Members of the Pennsylvania-Task Force 1 (PA-TF1) were deployed with a convoy of buses and trucks filled with resources and equipment to assist in the efforts.

The Philadelphia Fire Department sponsors PA-TF1, which is one of 28 state-based specially trained urban search and rescue teams overseen by FEMA. Members of the Philadelphia fire department are also part of PA-TF1.
