Philadelphia Shooting Kills Child, 2nd Shot In Less Than 24 Hours
A 2 month old girl was shot in the head and killed Sunday afternoon. The girl's mother was also shot . A man, shot in the stomach, is alive.
PHILADELPHIA, PA —For the second time in less than 24 hours, a child in Philadelphia has been shot and killed. This time it was a 2-year-old girl who was shot in the head in her home in Kensington.
The shooting happened around 3:30 Sunday afternoon on the 3300 block of North Water Street in Kensington. Police believe the shots came from outside the house.
The girl's 24-year-old mother was shot in the head and back. A 39-year-old man who was also in the house was shot in the stomach. They were both taken to Temple University Hospital. Police say that the mom's in stable condition and the man is in critical condition.

Police have not said how the man was connected to the other victims.
On Saturday night, a baby in the Hunting Park section of the city was shot four times – twice in the buttocks, once in the chest and once in the head.

That child, an 11-month-old boy, was in the back of his mother's car when, police say, he was struck. The mom told police that she didn't realize her son had been shot until she got home.
The child is at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in critical condition.
A $5,000 reward is being offered leading to the arrest of the shooter.
