Phillies Fans Drink The Least Booze At Games Of All MLB Fans

You're likely thinking there is no way this is true, but according to a gambling website Phillies fans aren't drinking beer at the park.

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia sports fans are infamous for being rowdy.

But according to a new online report, Phillies fans aren't rowdy because they are getting drunk at games.

NJ Online Gambling recently surveyed 2,631 baseball fans over the age of 21 on their drinking habits and discovered the Philadelphia Phillies rank last in fans drinking during games.

According to the website, fans have an average of 2.4 drinks per game. That comes to an average of $23.

Phillies fans rank slightly below Oakland A’s fans, who have 2.5 drinks per game, and San Francisco Giants fans, who have 2.7 drinks per game.

And before you surmise Phils fans aren't drinking in Citizens Bank Park because they are drinking at tailgates in the parking lot, the site says that's not the case.

Phillies fans aren't even in the top 12 for pregame drinking.

The fans who imbibe the most root for the Chicago White Sox, Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians and San Diego Padres.
