Phillies Moving To Full Fan Capacity June 4

With the city announcing its early easing of coronavirus restrictions, the Phillies said they will allow full attendance early, too.

PHILADELPHIA — Citizens Bank Park will be packed with fans once again as the team Friday announced it has shifted the timeline for full capacity home Phillies games.

Starting Friday, June 4, the ballpark will return to full fan capacity.

This move comes as Philadelphia health officials announced many of the city's restrictions will be lifted on June 2.

So on June 4, when the Phils take on the Washington Nationals, all 43,035 seats can be filled.

The team planned to allow full capacity June 12, but Friday's announcement by the city prompted the team to bump up their full capacity date.

And even more good news for fans: tailgating is back on starting June 4 in the parking lots south of Pattison Avenue.

Masks are not required when in outdoor areas of Citizens Bank Park, but are required in places such as Diamond Club, retail stores, elevators, restrooms and all other indoor parts of the park.

Below are upcoming home games in the Phillies schedule for those eager to get back to the park:

  • June 4 to June 6 — Washington Nationals
  • June 8 to June 10 — Atlanta Braves
  • June 12 and June 13 — New York Yankees
  • June 22 and June 23 — Washington Nationals
  • June 29 to July 1 — Miami Marlins
  • July 2 to July 4 — San Diego Padres

The Philadelphia 76ers Friday also announced they will move to 100 percent capacity on June 2.
