Philly Ranked A Top St Patrick's Day Celebration City: WalletHub

WalletHub looked at Irish pubs/restaurants per capita, three-star hotel prices on St. Patrick's Day, weather, and more to create the ranks.

PHILADELPHIA — We love our St. Patrick's Day fun here in Philadelphia. And according to the folks at WalletHub, we are one of the top cities in the nation for St. Paddy's revelry.

WalletHub look at 17 various metric ranges, from Irish pubs and restaurants per capita to the lowest price for a three-star hotel on St. Patrick’s Day to weather forecast to create its ranks of 2020’s Best Cities for St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations.

With all metrics considered, Philadelphia was ranked the third best city in the United States to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

Philadelphia has the fifth most Irish pubs and restaurants per capita, according to WalletHub.

Philly came in third behind Chicago at No. 1 and Boston at No. 2.

Our neighbors out west in Pittsburgh came in at No. 4 and touts the second highest percent of Irish populations in the nation, following Naperville, Illinois.

Tampa, Florida rounded out the top five coming in fifth overall in the ranks.

According to WalletHub, Americans are projected to spend $6.16 billion on the holiday this year.
