Local chefs helped celebrate the owner of Rim Cafe's birthday by teaming up to craft a 510-foot-long cheesesteak in South Philadelphia.
PHILADELPHIA — A roughly three-block-long cheesesteak filled 9th Street in South Philadelphia as a celebration for the owner of a local eatery's birthday, potentially breaking a world record.
Rim Cafe's owner Rene Kobeitri invited numerous chefs to help celebrate his birthday by helping make a 510-foot-long cheesesteak on 9th Street in South Philly, Action News reports.
Chefs used hundreds of rolls and hundreds of pounds of meat and cheese to create the mash-up cheesesteak that include styles such as ravioli, marinara, Spanish cheesesteaks, according to NBC10.

In the end the steak measured 510 feet, beating a previous record of 480 feet, Action News reports.
However, NBC10 reports Monday's effort is not officially a world record, despite it spanning three blocks between Wharton Street and Washington Avenue.
