PHILADELPHIA — The Pennsylvania SPCA is still helping Philadelphia's Animal Care and Control Team during its shutdown by hosting adoptable pets, and adoption fees are being waived this weekend.

Fees are being waived Friday, May, 31 through Sunday, June 2 at the SPCA's Erie Avenue Headquarters, 350 East Erie Ave. in Philadelphia

The Pennsylvania SPCA has been acting as a temporary overflow facility for ACCT Philly, the city’s shelter, as it continues to fight a severe upper respiratory infection that has made many dogs there seriously ill.
Since Sunday, May, 19, the Pennsylvania SPCA has taken in 109 animals, giving them a chance to be reunited with their families or find new, loving “furever” families.

Now, the PSPCA is full and in response will waive adoption fees to not only find homes for its residents, but to open up space so that we can continue to assist ACCT Philly as the quarantine is extended.
