Shiba Inu Puppy Stolen From Philly Shelter Found

After being stolen from the Pennsylvania SPCA shelter nearly two weeks ago, a Shiba Inu puppy has been found.

PHILADELPHIA — A puppy stolen from a Pennsylvania SPCA shelter in Philadelphia has been found, officials said.

The SPCA said the Shiba Inu puppy stolen from the group's Erie Avenue headquarters was found in Philadelphia's Olney section.

PSPCA’s Humane Law Enforcement team responded immediately to a property in Olney and confirmed the identity of the stolen puppy.

The pup was taken back to the SPCA's Erie Avenue headquarters.

A man was arrested last week in connection with the theft.

It is believed the dog was stolen with the intent to be sold.

The Pennsylvania SPCA is continuing to work with the Philadelphia Police Department in regard to this theft and subsequent recovery.
