9 People Shot In Philadelphia Tuesday

Several shootings left people hurt and two people dead in Philadelphia overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, according to reports.

PHILADELPHIA — Another violent night in Philadelphia left at least two people dead and others hurt, according to reports. A total of nine shooting victims were reported, according to sources.

A pair of sisters who were sitting on a porch near 46th and Walnut Streets when someone fired nearly two dozen shots at them just after 11 p.m., according to Fox29.

One of the sisters died at the scene and the other was listed as critical but stable.

Action News reports a man who was closing a candy store at Cheltenham Avenue and Rutland Street was shot during an attempted robbery at about 11:30 p.m.

The victim was able to drive himself to a hospital and is in stable condition.

Additionally, a man was shot to death at about the same time as when the sisters were shot near Tackawanna and Foulkrod streets in Frankford.

NBC10 reports a 45-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at a hospital.

And another man is in critical condition after being shot in the face outside a laundromat on the 5200 block of Woodland Avenue Tuesday night, Action News reports.

NBC10 reports four others were shot in two separate double shootings, and all victims are in stable condition.
