Ty needs to urgently leave the shelter because we are concerned about his health declining in the shelter environment. Poor Ty is a sweet older guy who loves to be pet and sit on your lap. He is a great office cat, and just wants attention. He is good for his fluids once he gets to know you, and he warms up quickly and will let you know when he needs something with his adorable meow. Ty would love to head out of the shelter with rescue and into a loving foster home of his very own real soon.
Ty is in desperate need of a HERO in order to beat his timestamp today that will be able to provide him with all of the love and care that he so urgently needs and deserves.

*Intake Reason: (6/22) Owner Surrender - Health of Animal
Medical Observations:
â–ª(7/1) Vet Check - Patient is a senior cat in fair body condition that is dehydrated. On blood work, patient has stage 3 kidney disease. Patient also has a moderate anemia, likely due to kidney disease, and signs of mild underlying inflammation on blood work. Thyroid levels are normal and patient tested FeLV/FIV negative. Patient remains BAR (Bright Alert Responsive) and friendly. Recommend exit with rescue willing to treat chronic kidney disease. Alternatively, consider for hospice care.
*Behavior Observations: Very friendly, loves to be a lap cat, once he gets to know you he is good for his fluids. He loves attention and being pet.
*Personality: Meet Ty! This sweet old man was surrendered back to us because of his declining health. He has some kidney issues and requires some special treatment! Ty doesn't let that bring him down though, he still seeks attention and loves getting pet.
