Winter Weather Advisory In Philly: Latest Forecast, Storm Timing

Philadelphia will be under a Winter Weather Advisory Wednesday night into midday Thursday, with snow accumulation expected overnight.

PHILADELPHIA — More winter weather is in Philadelphia's forecast, as another winter storm is heading this way with snow in the forecast starting 7 p.m. Wednesday and into Thursday.

The National Weather Service is reporting a 70 percent chance of snow for Wednesday night, with up to 2 inches of snowfall.

Thursday's chance of more snow is a bit lower at about 40 percent.

Wednesday night's snowfall will come late, most of it after 1 a.m. on Thursday. Another inch of snow could fall during the day on Thursday and more could pile up into Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service.

That 40 percent chance of snow persists through into the weekend. There's a 50 percent chance of a wintry mix falling on Saturday night and Sunday. The snow and sleet predicted could be accompanied by freezing rain late Saturday night and into Sunday, the National Weather Service said.

Temperatures through the week will be in the high 20s and 30s, with a dip down to 18 degrees on Friday night as skies clear.
