Winter's Not Done Yet: Chance Of Snow Next Week In PA

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Enjoy these next few days of mild temperatures, because winter is not quite done with us yet.

Temperatures in the Philadelphia region will go from the mid-60s Friday to the mid-50s over the weekend, before a chance of snow emerges early next week.

According to forecasters with The Weather Channel and The National Weather Service, snow is possible overnight Monday into Tuesday, when low temperatures drop to the 20s.

If the snow does materialize, it won't be a big event. The Weather Channel said there's a 40 percent chance of snow, and accumulations will be less than 1 inch.

Here's the forecast:

Friday: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 65. West wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Friday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 30. Blustery, with a northwest wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 49. West wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 33. West wind around 5 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 54. West wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 25.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 43.

Monday night: A chance of snow after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Tuesday: A chance of snow before 10 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., then a chance of rain after 11 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Tuesday night: A chance of rain before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
