Wynnewood Saw The Most Rain Across Four States Tuesday

Wynnewood's rainfall total was the highest in all of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland, the National Weather Service said.

WYNNEWOOD, PA — Rain sent deluges across the Philadelphia region and nearby states Tuesday as Tropical Storm Isaias rolled through. But Wynnewood was hit the hardest in terms of rain, according to the National Weather service.

The NWS in Mount Holly reported the highest rainfall total of all states in its coverage area —which includes Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland — in Wynnewood.

A trained National Weather Service spotter recorded 8.59 inches of rain in Wynnewood at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday.

The next highest total was recorded in Talbot County, Maryland. There, a trained spotted recorded 8.1 inches in Trappe.

Skippack and Collegeville tied for the third highest rainfall totals in the coverage area with 8 inches each.

Worcester Township had the third highest total with 7.56 inches.

Nearby, Bala Cynwyd had 6.43 inches and Rosemont 5.81 inches.

The lowest totals from Tuesday were 2 inches recorded in areas of New Jersey and Pennsylvania
